Raj Krishnaswamy

VP, Polymers R&D, CJ Bio


Raj Krishnaswamy is currently the Vice President of Polymers R&D at CJ Bio where they are bringing a new family of fully biobased and biodegradable polymers to the market. Prior to CJ Bio, Krishnaswamy spent time at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, Metabolix and Braskem, all in R&D and leadership roles. He is a Fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) and has also received SPE’s research and technology lifetime achievement award. He is a co-inventor on over 40 patent applications and is a co-author on over 40 research publications. Krishnaswamy is also a member of the University of Kentucky Engineering Alumni Hall of Distinction and serves on the advisory boards at Virginia Tech (polymer program), University of Kentucky (chemical engineering) and the SPE (Education Foundation).
